I did not know how to pick the contractor of the iron gates I needed for my driveway. There are a lot of providers of metal gates in Pretoria. Your site sent me some offers and help me with my decision. The employees of the site were helpful and gave me good advice. I will choose this contractor again in case I will need another service, such as a fence or reparation services of any kind.
Your site helped me find a great provider of security gates in Cape Town. They were fast and they respected the arranged due dates of installation. Your site made it easier for me to choose in the vast amount of providers of metal gates out there on the web. Would recommend it to anyone.
Metal gates, especially wrought iron gates that I wanted, are a big investment. I made a good choice by choosing procompare to help me find a provider for this type of gates. My friend recommended me procompare and I must say I am happy that I trusted him and chose their help. Nice and helpful personnel, lots of experience and great advice.
Before deciding on a gate, you should think about the style of your home exterior, about the type of the door that will suit you best (sliding or swing gates), about the property size (so you can choose the right size), about maintenance you are willing to do and, lastly, about your budget.
The driveway gate should be a little wider than your driveway entrance. Use a tape measure, and measure your driveway. Use a smaller single gate for a straight driveway. Use a wider double gate if you have curves on your driveway.
It is usual for gates to open inwards. In some cases, it is even illegal for gates to open outwards, into public property.
When choosing a material for your home gates, take into consideration appearance, difficulty of maintenance, security and of course price of the gates. Wooden gates are beautiful, but more difficult to maintain than say steel or metal gates. For mainly security reasons, choose palisade gates.
Metal gates don’t need much maintenance. SImply wash them with soapy water when necessary and be on the lookout for possible signs of rust so that you can remove it in time and protect your gates with primer.
I have old metal gates that my late dad put in years ago. I had palisades put in to heighten the walls, to make the property more secure. Now I need the gates heightened by joining them to a metal base that must be made. I will accept advice on best method and materials to use. I also want to convert these gates from swing gates to folding sliding gates placed onto a metal rail. I attach a rough schematic. I attach pictures taken of the palisade installation. It can be see that the gates need a base to be made to heighten per schematic attached. Please advise.

I am wanting to replacing my driveway sliding gate with a new metal wood clad one. The concrete driveway may need some cutting in as the existing system is too high and our vehicle struggles to get over it. Added to the new sliding gate, an additional fence panel will be needed to match which will be attached between the roof structure and the garage wall (seen in photos).
I have a parking that through the garage door as indicated on the attachment. My parking does not have a roof top. So what I want is to put up a roof and then burglar bars gate to secure my vehicle as I feel it is not very secure by only having the current garage door without a roof. The burglar gate will be installed inside this gate.
