Frequently asked questions
-
What should I take into consideration when choosing property gates?
Before deciding on a gate, you should think about the style of your home exterior, about the type of the door that will suit you best (sliding or swing gates), about the property size (so you can choose the right size), about maintenance you are willing to do and, lastly, about your budget.
-
How to choose the right gate size?
The driveway gate should be a little wider than your driveway entrance. Use a tape measure, and measure your driveway. Use a smaller single gate for a straight driveway. Use a wider double gate if you have curves on your driveway.
-
Should a gate open in or out?
It is usual for gates to open inwards. In some cases, it is even illegal for gates to open outwards, into public property.
-
What type of material is best used for home gates?
When choosing a material for your home gates, take into consideration appearance, difficulty of maintenance, security and of course price of the gates. Wooden gates are beautiful, but more difficult to maintain than say steel or metal gates. For mainly security reasons, choose palisade gates.

Solid sliding driveway gate with motorization
A new wall is going to be erected at the front of the property. I would like a sliding gate, which extends as low as possible to the ground. The wall will either be a 6 or 8 foot wall. The gate will need to be completely solid. No palisade gates, i dont want people to see inside. Completely Solid I would like a quote for it to be motorized too please as an additional option. Project completion will need to coincide with the building of the wall. Building should begin next year mid January to early February
