The aircon has been completely non-functional since then. Previous Diagnosis: The initial technician stated that the controller switch is burnt out. They claimed that proprietary replacement parts are obsolete for this specific console model and have recommended a complete unit replacement. Our Requirements: Before committing to a full system replacement, our management team wants a professional second opinion to determine if the existing unit can be refurbished, repaired, or if a high-quality universal/generic controller switch and relay can be retrofitted to safely restore functionality. If your technician evaluates the unit and concludes that a complete replacement is indeed the only viable option, please provide a competitive, formal itemized quote for supplying and installing a new ~14, BTU console unit. Please let me know your earliest availability for a site inspection and your standard call-out/diagnostic fee for the Fourways area.
Kindly could you confirm if you can provide me with a quote to have an air-condition re-gassed and have the pipe from the aircon to replaced with a copper pipe, as it appears that the unit is leaking Gas (with the current steal pipe, can you also confirm if you do charge a call out fee.
