This is a cottage separate to the house. Ground and top floor. I just need the foundation, prepaid electricity, prepaid water and plumbing installed and just a shell, with windows installed (no divisions inside). Walls to just be plastered and no flooring as yet. 48 square meters downstairs and same upstairs. What would the appropriate cost be please, including architect plans and approvals etc...? Thanks

We have a bar recently opened downstairs in one of the shops, which we disputed through the owner, the police and through liquor license. Liquor license says the bar is not registered through them and we should inquire with SAPS, and SAPS says they have a license. This bothers as residential owners of the building, the noise level and our for safety. We need a representative to dispute how a bar was approved to operate in a residential area.

I run a solo business where I compose music, generate royalties from songs played and provide music services from my studio. I also use my studio to record my voice over jobs and I'm an on screen presenter. My main business costs are occasional pieces of equipment like computer upgrades, camera and lighting equipment, props and outfits and online subscriptions for my editing software. I also do music and voice over consultations. I used to work as a physiotherapist full time and that supported my personal costs, but I left that job in and I've been relying on the above-mentioned income to sustain myself and my family (bond costs, groceries, etc). This has meant that I draw quite a lot of my earnings for personal costs ultimately making me the biggest cost to my business. I feel like even though it's a small operation that I run, it's quickly becoming too big for me to not prioritize setting up a structure that allows me to handle these personal costs, keep the business healthy and create a predictable tax situation come the end of the financial period. My knowledge is very limited when it comes to tax compliance and accounting in general and I need assistance in setting up this structure. I read that I could have a smaller salary, pay PAYE and handle the rest of my personal needs in dividends, but I have no idea of the implications of any of that or whether that's even the best structure for me. What I do know is how much the business needs to run, how much I need personally for my expenses and how much I expected to generate on average based on and . My main goals are to remain compliant, maximize tax efficiency, build a small but steady cash reserve and still able to run my business and handle personal expenses. Any assistance in achieving these goals will be appreciated.

We have land in the rural eastern cape, in a small town called Herschel. We want to build a retirement home for my mother who will be relocating from CPT. The idea is to have a 4/5 bedroom house that will cater for her children and grand children. A double garage and detached patio are part of the requirements.
