7 things to consider when building a carport
Before building a carport, you need to know what you want and what you can afford.
We have a timber frame house with ship lap cladding. we want to add a granny flat onto the side of the house, and then do some work on our main house, add a pool, add a patio and build stairs. Our house is double storey and we want to add on a unit that is the same style - split level with a small veranda in front and back. We are unsure about the size, but probably between 30 and 50 square metres.

I would like a black metal frame gate with fibre cement panels that go vertically that are also black. Attached is an image for the gate. Note that you cannot see through the gate and that is how I would like it. The gate needs to be 3.5 meters wide and 2 metres tall. I would like the gate to come with all the security measures needed to make sure someone does not try break in.
I would like to remove the bath and install a walk in show. Replace basin and toilet and retile the floor and walls. Install a vanity and towel rail. Hi We have some old Astro that is in storage that we would like to install in our school gym facility. The floor space is roughly 6m wide and 25m in length. We have an old carpet there currently that would need to be ripped out and replaced with the turf. We possibly would require a general cleaning of the turf if it is something you are able to provide. 1 Standard Double Sectional Automated lift door with draughtproofing. The existing Double is of the 40 raised panel type single up and over and will remain in place until all new brickwork is completed 3 mtrs forward of existing door and new door to be fitted before removal of the old door. This is for security reasons. This installation/removal is subject to planning approval and completion of new brickwork and roofing not earlier than September/October time.
40 years ago we built a new office block but using wooden bay windows from an old Parktown mining magnate's house which was being demolished. At the time we restored the wood and repaired all the lead glass windows, however, over the years, the treatment we have been using has obviously not been any good and they are now in desperate need of repair or replacement. Please call me to discuss the problem and give us idea on the practicality of repairing or replacing these windows and possible costs. This involves a bay window frame, 8 windows and 8 fanlights. The carport needs to come from the side of the house which is about 1 meter in width, and to the way to the front of house which is about 6x6m if I'm not mistaken. I would like a quote I'm not sure what the correct measurements are at this stage. We would also like carport roof that is solid for all weather conditions especially rain, but brings in natural sunlight to the home still. Please advise. Thank you
I would like a shade carport for two cars that can be attached to the outside of my double garage. There can be no implanting with concrete due to Estate rules in order to term the port as a temporary structure.
