There's a company that I was servicing (to transport their clients parcels) . I am the tenant of a restaurant/franchise business . My commercial lease expired and has been running month-to-month. I have accumulated rental arrears and previously signed Acknowledgements of Debt (AODs) with the landlord. To settle the full debt, I concluded a signed Sale of Business Agreement with a buyer who is ready, willing, and able to take over the premises and sign a new lease with the landlord. The sale proceeds will cover all outstanding arrears in full. The landlord has refused to consent to the lease cession/transfer and instead issued a letter purporting to cancel the lease with immediate effect and demanding I vacate by 30 March which is days away. Good Day, I am looking to get some advice. My partners are looking to "buy" me out of the business I own 25% shares in.
