Dear Sir/Madam I want a steel sliding gate installed across the entrance to a covered stoep. The width of the gap is 5,2m, and the height 3m. In addition to being burglar proof, it needs to be baboon resistant (thus relatively small openings). It is a coastal environment, hence rust proofing is very important. At the moment I do not anticipate automating the gate. Could you please inform me whether you do such custom installations, what the approximate (ball park) cost would be, and what you would recommend to prevent rust of the gate and sliding mechanism? Please also let me know whether you can do the installation in the Overberg area. Thank you.
1. Close/repair all the entry points to prevent access of the rodents from exterior, as per the pictures attached. Repair/replace garage doors, where the wood is open and allowing rodents into the building. 2. Paint the galvanized mesh wire with anti rust paint. 3. Back steel gate to the staff quarters -Remove and replace the rusted hinges with new on the gate as well as on the wall
Please see attached. This gate needs to be replaced, as you can see, it's fully rusted and falling apart. I don't have the measurements. It's a sliding gate, I don't need a remote controlled gate. Sliding driveway gate ; L : 6.6 m , H 2.1 m . with gate motor. Rust treated and painted black. Plain style vertical rods with maybe a few horizontal beams to improve strength. Will need to do some cutting into cement paving to get installation level. Will also require anti lifting, proximity eye [ beam] and some wiring to allow for remote opening of gate application.
