We bought this house 3 years ago. Still paying the binds. Previous owner modified it and added a swimming pool. As result the area of our backyard is the same level as the house floor and when it rain the water piles up and get into the house. There is a small pipe fitted to drain water underneath the garage to the fridge nt lawn but that is not enough. The house goes from one fence to the next with limited options. I need someone to help fit a drain system along the back of the house to catch water before it piles up against the house and direct it to our garage area where we need to either directional drill a way through underneath the garage or chase out the garage floor to create a better drain option and get the water pass under the garage in a bigger pipe which should aid the existing pipe to get the water out. Alternatively someone need to come have a look for themselves and give recommendations so we can get this fixed
I would like to extend a portion of my house to move my garages. I would like to have the garages at the bottom and an additional room above the garages, that connect to the main house. No connection between the garage and the room above. The area we would like to do is around 7x6m and then height would be determined by the height and possibility of the room above the garages. We would like two garages.
Carting Away & Earthworks: Measurement: Quantities are typically measured "in-situ" (original volume), but the pricing rate must account for the "loose volume" (expansion after excavation) and include loading and hauling. Classification: Material is often classified into categories like "Earth," "Soft Rock," and "Hard Rock," which dictate pricing differences. Precast Concrete Fencing: Standard Practice: For sloping terrain, fencing must be "stepped" to suit the site, which includes using increased post lengths where necessary. Foundations: Bases for posts should typically be Class B prescribed mix concrete. Grouting (ABE Duragrout): This is a non-shrink, cementitious grout specifically for high-strength precision grouting of base plates and anchor bolts, ensuring structural stability of the H-beams mentioned in your document. Workmanship & Materials: Quality: All materials must be new and undamaged, and work must be executed in accordance with SANS (South African National Standards) and manufacturer instructions. Proprietary Products: Descriptions using trade names (like "ABE Duragrout") require the contractor to provide that specific product or a pre-approved equivalent.
Building construction involves a systematic process of creating structures—ranging from residential homes to industrial complexes—through phases of planning, design, and execution. It requires adhering to regulatory standards, such as those set by the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) in South Africa for quality assurance. Key phases include site preparation, foundation laying, structural framing, and finishing, often supported by Construction Industry Development Board (cidb) regulations.

I want to increase the height of the existing vibracrete wall from 1m to 1.8 m, and need to replace about 6 posts and panels— it’s about ±70m of vibracrete in total. Vibracrete painted. I’d also like to increase the height of the existing brick wall from 1m to 1.8 m and build a new section of brick wall to narrow the driveway. Total brickwork is about ±22 m. Wall to be Plaster and painted.
A 16 meter portion of my property’s current boundary wall on the front end of the property recently collapsed and needs to be rebuild. The wall was 2 meters high, double brick construction and need to be rebuild according to current building regulations. The majority of the current bricks were not damaged during the collapse and I would like to re-use if possible. The wall was build more than 20 years ago - the foundation is a suspect for the collapse.
