We have an alarm system installed, but not linked to armed response and not pet friendly. We have 2 small dogs, so leave the front door open and security gate locked while we are at work. we have had 2 break ins in the last 5 days. Intruders bent the security gate open the first time and bent the burglar bars on the window the second time.

I have a current monitored alarm system, with beams, installed in . With the loadshedding, I had to replace the battery and in order to check that the alarm is working properly, we need to contact the alarm company regularly, I find this frustrating. Therefore, I would like to have an up to date alarm system that we can control remotely. The beams are important, however, there is a cat and a dog at home that must be considered. The property is in a secure complex with guard and electric fencing as well as monitoring by a security company.
