How to get building plan approval in South Africa?
What you have to do to get the permit and where to start.
I want to build a 13 room house on a plot situated new a dam. Master bedroom will be facing the dam with glass doors & a walk in-closet, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom (en-suite & guest), laundry room (with a sun roof for sunlight), double garage, mud room, wooden pizza oven outside. Kitchen & lounge will be open plan (glass only). Need a plan to be approved & submitted to receive housing finance
Double storey family house. 4 bedrooms with en-suit. 1 study. tv room. lounge. 3 garages. pyjama lounge on first floor. 1 outside room if possible.
Using the cheapest building methods I would like to build this "shack". I love modern and interesting buildings. The furnishings inside will be my own old weathered furniture. Would like to have the inside of the bathroom line with corrugated sheets, really cheap but quirky. 1 bedroom, living-dining-kitchen space. With little outdoor covered space. It really can be a box but bathroom and bedroom to be separated and not part of an open space. I really need it to be very modern/ industrial. I love too many styles. Dont want to purchase new furniture. I want it to be a "bachelor pad" for an old bachelor retiring. Also simple to build. I love wood, metal, concrete, the rammed earth method and also straw bales. I am open to anything. based in JHB, has not found a plot yet, looking at starting the project in

I am currently in Addis Ababa. And just would like price to have a drawing as per excell plan attached. This is a farmhouse, though we would like to have a proper plan, especially regarding the thatched roof. The location is also indicated in WORD by means of screen shots.
