I have bought a property 50/50 with my spouse out of community of property with accrual and have been served with a divorce letter on the 17 Oct that I did not contest. In our marriage she bought another house on her name and car that is worth more than our shared dwelling. She will force me to buy her out which is fair but I can not afford to incur extra personal costs if she so demands. I am only able to apply for a bond beginning of January 26 with my new job, she has basically abandoned me with the shared property and I have been paying rates/ taxes/ security. There was a burglary in the beginning of the year and since then she came to resent the place. She really did not leave me with a choice to take this job and I was hoping to save the marriage by paying her back and free her of this issue of this property between us but she filed anyway. The job was the only way to get a bond in the first place. We got married 2 years ago and I sold my property in Cape Town to buy this property in Waterfall KZN. Please advice
