On my return, it appears that there's no directive for my lump sum from the Western Cape EducatyDepartment. SARS is hold a refund for this past tax return period by saying I have an outstanding return for , I vaguely remember having to advise SARS around that I was under the tax threshold in which was k if I remember correctly? I know my IRP5 was submitted by my employer at the time (EMP) timeously. I unfortunately don't have a copy of that periods IRP5 anymore but I think I might have some copies of old payslips for that period. 1. I dont even think I earn enough to pay tax as I work for myself. I did however receive a IRP5 from a company that makes use of my services. This IRP5 is confusing as mi imal tax was deducted and the annual gross income figure can not be true. I just dont understand this whole process. To whom it may concern. I am one year behind with my taxes. I teach online for a Canadian/Taiwanese school. My income is very modest and I don't think I should be paying any tax. My previous tax consultant handed over my portfolio as I felt she wasnt really helping me to see where I could save on any tax money.
