Me and my partner, are about to take a huge step of getting married, but my frustration is that I'm still stuck on the pain of her illtreating me when I was not working, during that time we even separated as I wasn't emotionally right. I later on secured myself a job, which I'm only a year and couple of months in it, I wanted to start building myself and securing a future for my children. She later on after eight months, asked for forgiveness and convinced me to take things to a more serious steps, which speaks to marriage, due to me loving her and caring about her I was convinced, but still having second thoughts, because I only started working and wanted to build life for my kids, as she herself, is stable. She managed to build herself property which is also making her an extra income. One of my other frustrations, is that she expects me to do right by her, but for her when I was not working I was treated like a black sheep. I.at times have thoughts that says , maybe i might be doing this for sake of our child, whom is oftenly seen to be the one advocating so much for our unity, even though he is only four years. Me and my partner, we hardly spend a week without a tension between ourselves. She's mostly complains and at times I feel that she is never happy with little efforts i put in. We supposed to get married in December , and I at times doubt if we are really ready because I feel like she's only looking out for herself. Our marriage will be out of community of property, because of what she started insisting on, because of the fact that I had children before I meet with her. She has acquired assets for herself and have lucrative career whilst myself, I'm still starting in everything, hence I have this doubts.

I'm stuck in rural areas and surrounded by unproductive/useless people with no dreams or way forward in life, and I find it hard to develop myself in this environment. I find it hard to adopt good habits most of the time. I'm a business person not working, and I have recently started a small business. I am trying to become successful in life.
My partner and I are seeking a couples therapist who works in a structured, evidence-based way and is comfortable addressing trust, communication patterns, attraction, and intimacy, including explicit discussion of sex. We are not in crisis but feel stuck in unhelpful interaction loops and would like help identifying and changing them. A good fit for us would be someone who can balance emotional validation with practical tools, behavioural change, and clear goals. We are particularly interested in approaches such as Integrative Behavioural Couple Therapy, Behavioural Couples Therapy, or Couples CBT, and in a therapist who can explain their framework clearly and track progress over time.
