Prior to purchase of property. On the ceilings I noticed small water marks, like condensation. I am in the UK and looked on Google earth and noticed that there are two areas which look like water pooling. I need an inspection to advise of issue, can it be repaired or replaced and cost and timeframe
We have a room built against a hill, which means that there is soil directly against half the height of one wall. When it rains, water in the soil seeps down and through the wall, damaging the carpet and the paintwork in the room. What is needed is comprehensive damp-proofing along the length of the wall, and down to foundation level.
We have purchased a house in Century City and would like to have it painted inside before we move in at the end of October. We will need the walls, Ceiling, skirtings and doors painted. Ceiling and skirtings should be white. Doors Grey and walls off-white/grey. We need to still choose the paint colours . We require a quote from a reputable painter for this job.
I need some maintenance and relatively minor (hopefully) repairs and painting done on my home including; bathroom grout/silicone repair, kitchen cabinet repair (hoping maintenance can be done rather than a remodel) and some painting done due to minor water damage in spots. The current house inside walls must be removed to create one big open plan. The roof re structured. The current garage and outbuildings must be converted into a one bedroom flatlet with small kitchen. A workshop will be added to this at the back. The specifications are as follows: Cemcrete or relevant floor, no floor tiles. Structure build with light clay stocks to be washed and sealed with limited plaster and paint work. Open roof trusses painted white. No solar or electrical geyser only Gas geysers for all bathrooms and kitchen. Gas stove for main house kitchen. No stove for flatlet. Covered patio. Windows to specifications. Lights and fittings to specifications. No baths for the 4 bathrooms only showers.
KITCHEN: water inlets put in for a washing machine and dishwasher and the electrical plug point for them, kitchen walls painted correctly, curtain rail put up above window. BATHROOM: most crucial is painting**, then - put up a curtain rail above the window, (potentially bathroom redone - new toilet, bath and sink). GENERAL: light bulbs replaced in 3 rooms (2 LED bulbs per room), floors need replacing throughout apartment - tiles - but we would like advice (55 sqm apartment).
