Hi there, I’m a South African tax resident and need assistance ensuring I am fully compliant with SARS for the current and upcoming tax year. My situation is as follows: 1. I was a salaried employee with PAYE deducted until 21 August . 2. From 21 August , I began working as an independent contractor for an international company. 3. No PAYE is being deducted from my contractor income. 4. I remain a South African tax resident and have not ceased residency. I need clarity and assistance on the following: 1. Confirming my provisional taxpayer status. 2. Ensuring any required IRP6 provisional tax submissions are correctly handled (including catching up if necessary). 3. Preparing and filing my ITR12 correctly, reflecting: • IRP5 income (salary portion) • Foreign contractor income • Any provisional payments 4. Advising on penalties or interest exposure if provisional submissions were missed. 5. Setting up a clean, forward-looking structure so I remain compliant going forward. Before proceeding, I would appreciate clarity on: • Your fee structure (once-off vs ongoing) • Whether you handle provisional tax calculations and submissions • Your experience with foreign contractor income • What documentation you require from me I’m looking for accuracy, compliance, and forward planning, not just return submission. Please let me know the next steps and estimated cost. Kind regards,

I am currently looking to appoint an accountant to assist with my company’s accounting, tax, and statutory compliance requirements, and I would appreciate a detailed quotation for the services outlined below. The business is still in its startup phase and began trading in July . To date, turnover has been just under R,. I currently perform the day-to-day bookkeeping myself using Sage Cloud Accounting, and payroll is processed on Sage Cloud Payroll. There are approximately 30–40 transactions per month on the business bank account. I am the sole director of the company but do not draw any salary or funds from the business at this stage. I am also not involved in the day-to-day operations, as the business is currently run by two employees. I require assistance with the following: • Reviewing my bookkeeping to ensure that transactions are correctly captured, allocated, and compliant • Monthly or bi-monthly bookkeeping processing and oversight • VAT return submissions • EMP submissions • EMP reconciliations (twice per year) • Compilation of Annual Financial Statements • Submission of IT14 (Income Tax Return) • Calculation and submission of Provisional Tax Returns (2 per year) • Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) Annual Return • CIPC Beneficial Ownership submission In addition to the above, I would value ongoing guidance to ensure that the company remains compliant, tax efficient, and properly structured as it grows.

Hi I submitted my FY tax return last year and was subsequently selected for an audit regarding the rental income/loss declared. I provided the requested supporting documentation, which was reviewed; however, I lodged an objection as I believe the review was not comprehensive. I have now received further correspondence from SARS requesting additional clarification. Some of the information requested appears to have been included in my initial submission. They are also requesting bank statements reflecting rental income received, as well as proof of maintenance expenses. I would appreciate assistance with: - Interpreting the latest SARS correspondence, - Reviewing my previous submission to assess whether it was adequate, and - Preparing and organising any additional supporting documentation required. Regards
