What kind of fence offers the most protection?

I would like to enlarge the living room area and tear down a couple of walls as well as build new ones. Bathrooms would be halfed in order to make space for a larger walk in closet and a guest toilet. I have old metal gates that my late dad put in years ago. I had palisades put in to heighten the walls, to make the property more secure. Now I need the gates heightened by joining them to a metal base that must be made. I will accept advice on best method and materials to use. I also want to convert these gates from swing gates to folding sliding gates placed onto a metal rail. I attach a rough schematic. I attach pictures taken of the palisade installation.
