How to choose the right architect for your house plans?
This four-step process should help you find the right architect for the job of drawing house plans.
We are looking at building a house of m2. Looking at the following: Double garage and storeroom Open plan kitchen, dining, lounge Scullery/laundry Main bedroom, dressing room, bathroom Study or two separate areas we can work from – they don’t have to separate rooms Another 2 bedrooms and bathrooms or a shared bathroom Guest loo Patio / braai /fire pit Swimming pool – maybe Looking for a farmhouse style, maybe even a barn style Concrete floors throughout
Attached Plans that I have for the current Structure. We would like to remodel and add on, we would also like the plans to include future addons that we would like to achieve so as that when we are in the position to do those addons we do not need new plans etc. I also attach a rough sketch of our intensions.
We currently have a tiny house (4 m long by 2.3 wide ) which fits a double bed, shelves bath and toilet. We want to extend by building an upstairs section over the existing footprint (so 4 m x 2.3) with an outside deck extension that also acts as a double covered garage (no sides needed on the garage) just decking and paving floor. Good day, we have a current house that we would like to extend/renovate and also add a little cottage to the property. We have something in mind but would like to get a professional opinion as to whether it is possible or a better design plan of what would be possible as well as keeping cost to a minimum taking the area onto consideration. I would like to redesign my kitchen, living areas and outdoor area. In my kitchen, I would like to remove the kitchen walls and part of the second floor to open up the space. I would like to demolish one of my eternal walls to create a glass sliding door wall. I currently have a lapa in my outdoor area which need to be removed for a deck can be installed. We would like to extend our bathroom, add a shower, add an additional 3 rooms and a courtyard. This will all be added to an outside room that we are currently using as a bedroom, the one room will be a lounge open plan kitchen. The other two rooms, one will be a second bedroom and the other will be made into a study. We want the bathroom, kitchen and study to all lead to the courtyard.
