Every South African homeowner can avoid lots of problems by waterproofing their homes.
The basement is humid and is smelling musty, the walls are flaking in one of the rooms. In winter, cold air seeps through into the ground floor because of the wooden flooring and the spacing between the floor boards. I want a cost effective, economical and durable solution like a fibre seal for walls and underflooring.
I have a flat concrete slab roof. I need to replace the current torch on as it is leaking when it rains heavily and causing damp through out the building. The roof portion that needs sealing is over sqm, but I don't know the exact number off hand. I will need to go there later or tomorrow and walk off the measurement. I would like this sooner rather than later, but am a little flexible. I attempted a short term fix as I wanted to build on the roof, but it looks like I will have to wait on that now and just repair the roof. See attached pictures.
Repairs of aged/damaged water proofing on small sections of the roof showing signs of water damage and cracks. Cleaning of existing waterproofing membranes on the rest of the roof and replacing damaged pieces with overcoat and torching. Application of 2x overcoat matching the existing colour of the house.

Hi I would like a square meter rate for a torch on waterproof. There is existing torch on which is 20 years old, on a flat concrete roof. the square meters is sq/m. I would like a price first so we can see if we can afford it. It's a concrete roof . I am not there this next week, and we working on repairs on our house ,so we can extend our bond. Just need a more or less price. Then when I am back you can come to give me a accurate quote and help with the service.
40 years ago we built a new office block but using wooden bay windows from an old Parktown mining magnate's house which was being demolished. At the time we restored the wood and repaired all the lead glass windows, however, over the years, the treatment we have been using has obviously not been any good and they are now in desperate need of repair or replacement. Please call me to discuss the problem and give us idea on the practicality of repairing or replacing these windows and possible costs. This involves a bay window frame, 8 windows and 8 fanlights. The roof was recently painted and the winter has damaged some of the roof sheets. The roof is leaking in 3 areas. I would like the roof to be checked and any issues sorted. I have an old roof. The builder has advised me it is either asbestos or fibre cement. I have some water proofing that needs to be done.
I have a degrees sea view on my patio and I do not want to block the ocean views at all. I would therefore like folding windows in the front of the patio and sliding windows on the side. I am not sure exactly how many windows I will need as I am not sure about the sizes of the windows - I would need someone to advise me on that.
We need emergency services. We have a two story home and a window on the 2nd story has completely blown out. It is supposed to rain today and we need to get this boarded up on the outside and inside of the frame and replaced before it rains. The window is located in the front of the house so if it rains, it will be pouring into the house. This is an emergency!!
