I will like to get assistance with my property case levies. When I wasn't employed I could not pay levies but sent the dismissal letter to the body corporate. After I got the job I started paying my levies and topped up with R. The trustees served me to attend the case in court which the judge requires me to have a lawyer representing me
I am in the process of making a property purchase, that is very straight forward. The Estate agency appointed conveyancers to do the transfer, I asked them for a discount on the fees, as I have received a discount on the bond registration fees, I felt it was reasonable to ask. I was told this is usually only done for recurring clients. I would like to find out if this is true and if not, could I get quotes to potentially then switch the conveyancers.
We rented out our house effective from the 1st of August. The tenants then said to the estate agent on the 6th of August that one of the spouses found a job in Capetown and they want to do an early termination. On the 7th they confirmed that they moving out on the last day of August. Then on the 12th of August they came and said they no longer going to Cape Town and have decided to stay. Mind you the next day in the 7th we had to go to the landlord we currently renting form to inform them of this and they said it’s fine we can move but then we have to pay 3 months rental as penalty for early cancellation on the 12 months lease. We had no choice to agree because we decided that we rather go back to our house instead of having other people move in as it’s our home and the plan we wanted only 1 family. The tenants now are demanding to get their deposit back , but they the ones that started all this back. We even went as far as saying they can stay for free the whole of September to cover for the deposit which a lot of people are saying no they actually are the ones that owe us. I need an expert on this matter.

I am seeking a legal quotation for the acquisition of a servitude of right of way over a portion of my neighbour's property, Erf , which has been used as a driveway for my property, Erf , for over 35 years. The basis of my claim is acquisitive prescription, as the use has been continuous, open, and "as if of right" since approximately . The reason for the use was the impracticality of the original driveway due to a sewer drain and a neighbour's encroachment. My claim is strengthened by a permanent brick wall constructed by the previous owners (thier grandmother) of Erf in , which formalized the area's use as my driveway. We bought a house before getting married. Now we want to add my surname to my wife’s surname. We have not yet gone to home affairs to do the changes. But after that we need to ensure the change is also done on our title deed. So i want to know how much would the process cost lodging the change with the deeds office?
Basically I have not received invoices to pay my monthly levies and water and electricity, my husband would blindly pay it and i told him no more and we asked for invoices, and never got them, even though we have money we need an invoice but now we received a summons that we have 10 days to pay or our water and lights will be cut off. I have a tenant in Cape Town who happens to be my daughter in law. My son passed on in and we had agreed that she should pay reduced rental in my flat and also the levies and municipal bills for the flat. Since she stopped paying rentals which I was willing to overlook if she paid the levies and municipal bills. I have just been contacted by the body corporate managing the place advising that she has not been paying levies either. I tried to engage her in discussion but now she has stopped answering my calls and responding to my messages after promising to pay the debt. I now want to evict her
