• How long does a security camera record?

  Surveillance camera systems these days can record all the time. The video is usually stored on a hard drive within your property. Most cameras will start recording once it detects movement, some will even send alerts to your phone.

• Should I get wired or wireless security camera?

  Wired cameras are a good choice for homeowners who won't be moving the cameras often. They are more reliable since they are not dependent on internet. However, they need wires to run along uninterrupted in inconspicuous places on the property. Wireless cameras don’t and are therefore easier to install. They are better suited for renters who would like to move the cameras with them.

• Can outdoor cameras be used indoors and vice versa?

  Outdoor cameras can be used indoors but indoor cameras cannot be used outdoors unless protected completely by outdoor elements (weather conditions, temperatures, other inconveniences).

• Will the cameras work if there is no power or Wi-fi?

  No, if there is no power or Wi-fi your cameras won’t work unless you have a power backup.

• How many cameras do I need?

  This will depend on the size and layout of the area you wish to survey. On average, we recommend one camera per 55m2 for an analog System and per 111m2for a digital System.
