Maintenance for an above-ground pool includes regular cleaning to remove debris, checking and balancing the water chemistry, and ensuring the filtration system is functioning properly. It's also important to inspect the pool structure for any signs of wear or damage, such as leaks or rust on the frame. Seasonal maintenance, such as winterizing the pool, can help prolong its lifespan.
Maintenance for a gunite pool includes regular cleaning, brushing the walls and floor to prevent algae buildup, checking and balancing the water chemistry, and ensuring the filtration system is functioning properly. The surface may need to be resurfaced every 10 to 15 years, depending on the finish. Regular inspections for cracks and other structural issues are also recommended.
Maintenance for a vinyl liner pool includes regular cleaning, checking and balancing the water chemistry, and inspecting the liner for any tears or leaks. It is essential to keep sharp objects away from the liner to prevent damage. The pool should also be vacuumed regularly to remove debris, and the filter system should be cleaned to ensure proper operation.
Maintenance for a fiberglass swimming pool is relatively low compared to other types of pools. Regular tasks include balancing the water chemistry, cleaning the filter, skimming the surface for debris, and occasionally brushing the pool to prevent algae. The smooth surface of fiberglass pools also means they are less prone to algae buildup and staining, reducing the need for frequent cleaning.
It’s a small beach pool. The gunnite surface is coming off when we scrape the walls while cleaning. Those little gravelly bits are loose & now just collecting on the bottom of the pool. There are also cracks. The pool is about 25years old. I don’t know what the size is in litres or square meters. But at its deepest it’s shoulder height and I’m about 5.6 f tall.
I’m experiencing an issue with my swimming pool where the Kreepy Krauly cleaner operates for about 5 minutes and then stops working. Additionally, when I switch off the pool pump at the circuit breaker, a surge of pressure builds up and forces the pool pipes to pop out or disconnect. This occurs while the pump is set to the "Filter" setting on the multiport
Hi there. We had a fiberglass splash pool installed 10 years ago. Unfortunately no plans were drawn and to top it off the pool extends over the sewerage servitude by mm. We have no option but to drain the pool, allow for drainage and fill up with soil. Can we get a quote from you to carry out the work. We reside in Libradene Boksbburg

Hello, I am looking for someone to do pool maintenance weekly at our property in Robinhills. The person would need to do the following: Do pool maintenance and alert the owner of any damage. Take photos of the pool before and after service and send them via WhatsApp, report any issues with the pool due to any negligence.
I need the old, cracked fiberglass removed, and new lining installed. The installation is at least 20 years old. It can be fiberglass or EPDM/PVC/ rubber lining. Pool size is 4m x 7m, running from shallow mm to mm deep. Two steps at the shallow end. I will also consider other budget friendly options.
I believe we have a leak somewhere along the pipe lines that run to the pump, i have shut off the pump for a few days and the water level didnt sink further so i dont think that the pool itself is cracked. we have a medium sized pool no longer than maybe 8m. the chlorinator is also stuffed as the landlord isn't bothering to sort any of it out. the pool light is also go, literally just a dead cable hanging in the pool now which looks terrible and dangerous.
First problem: The sandfilter was recently replaced, but the backwash/waste line was not fitted, so all dirt will remain inside filter. Remarbelite was also done, and pool was made smaller. Second problem: Water was filled from tap and was greenish tint in colour, could be mixing with metal dust particles from new marbelite coating - Metal remover was added yesterday, but not available to continue attending to the pool today, going to another province for work reasons, but tenants there can open the gate for access. Third problem, new light installed, it’s flickering, I want it to remain on, must not flicker. The company who has made the above changes, and some other mistakes are now running away, so need to continue without them…main concern is fitting the backwash line though.
