A properly installed waterproofing system should last you anytime between 10 and 15 years. Roof waterproofing can last longer, especially torch on waterproofing.
Can you repair waterproofing?

Depending on the extent of damage on your waterproofing membrane and the age of it, you can choose between simple patches or a complete replacement.
Do I have to waterproof the balcony before tiling?
