How to prepare for waterproofing?

First step before waterproofing an area is to clean the surface to remove dust, grease, rust, paint and any other material which may affect the adhesion of coatings. How long can waterproofing last?

A properly installed waterproofing system should last you anytime between 10 and 15 years.
