Do I need an architect if I want to build a house in South Africa?
A professional that is registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession must submit the building plans before extending, renovating or building a home.
Current house is 24 yrs. old. The veranda is 90 sqm.It has a Victorian style look.The roof is hipped.I want to convert it into 2 apartments.The house has a lounge ,dining room with 4.5 bed- room room and study room. with 2 bahroom. I want the Architect ,to design, draw the plans. etc with no supervision .The 2 apartments must have3 bedroom each with a common bathroom with lounge,dinning room , en - suite bathroom,toilet etc and a study room and TV room 0verport
