A drunk parent came to school to shoot me. He was outside the schoolyard and corked the gun there wanting to come in for me. Luckily for me one of the security ladies knew him and could speak some sence into him. Obviously when i was notified i was stressed. My employer rejected my application for IOD saying that the incident took place outside the workplace.

I am based in NZ. Setting up some websites and apps that will be available internationally. Looking for 'the standard' T&C blurb and ensuring this covers us for liability with regards to specifics of our app(s)/site. Also may need to look at the data/privacy blurb/setup and limiting liability insofar this can be done. I suspect it gets tricky with international users. main focus are western countries at this point. NZ, Australia, USA, Canada, EU, SAfrica. I expect reasonable uptake elsewhere over time. both apps are brand new busy development/launching.
Good Day my company lost a contract with our client and has now given me notice of retrenchment. I received an email on friday informing me that my official 2 months will begin from the 1st of May. I would like to know what it is that I should receive from the company. Documents and Finance related
Retrenchment case where employer owes salaries of Nov ,December ,January ,February .first implemented short time unfairly, thn stil didn't pay me. Then pushed me into a disciplinary victimizing me. When they could not dismiss me, the retrenchment was d next option. Only 4 people retrenched the same 4 that laid a case at CCMA.Employer withholding salaries and now retrenchment package with excuse they do not have funds. Yet d company and staff works as usual. Many tender projects that generates income.
I want to ask, I am going through a disciplinary investigation, how long after the date of the letter must the hearing be held? The owner of the school told the manager to tell me when I went home that I am not allowed to go back to work and I have also been at home for 4 days after they told me I am not allowed to go back. I actually gave in my resignation on 18 March and the manager refused to sign it and now the letter of investigation says 30 March and hearing was on 02 April but I ONLY received the letter today 04 April. What should I do? How many days after a letter date is a hearing supposed to be held ?
Actually finding out for my sister who was fired. Won her CCMA case and the Company did not pay the award. Yesterday documents were emailed stating they are going to Labour court with an affidavit. My sister needs to respond within 10 days on the Affidavit and submit to labour court. I am in Pretoria. She is in Gariep. Company who fired her is in Johannesburg/ Hartbeespoort dam.
We are seeking consultation and assistance from a reliable and affordable attorney regarding a tragic incident that occurred last year. Our father, who was 59 years old at the time, was working in a temporary position at the request of his supervisor, as the regular employee was on leave. Unfortunately, during a night shift in June, he fell into a machine, resulting in a fatal accident. Despite the devastating impact on our family, the company has shown no sympathy or taken any responsibility for their actions, leaving us without justice for our loss. Notably, our father was nearing retirement age and had planned to leave the workforce this year. We believe that the company's negligence and lack of accountability have caused significant pain and suffering, and we are seeking legal guidance to explore our options for seeking compensation and holding those responsible accountable.
My father was working for SAB at Empangeni for more than 15years service. He passed away on the 29 of July . Me and my sister only received R I was the first beneficiary and my sister only gets R if I am not mistaken. So I am willing to know that where is the rest of the money, UIF, Pension fund etc.
Hi, I came to Mexico for a few months to visit my partner. I got pregnant and I am wondering if I cant get the MATB1 certificate from here somehow? I work for a UK-based company remotely as a software engineer and I pay all my taxes and NHS to the UK via payroll. I have been working for this company for over a year now. My due date is November but I was not planning to return to the UK in the 20th week (which is the earliest for me to get the MATB1 certificate), due to concerns about my pregnancy. I know I am eligible for the maternity leave & pay, I'm just concerned about the ceritifcate and how I can get all the way from here? Thanks
