We need to relook at getting new security as ADT or Fidelity is not coming to the party. We need simple monitoring and an SMS or some notification when alarm is deactivated or armed. This way we see when the office is opened and closed. I've asked ADT how many times now how to re-program, our pin codes and also SMS notification - but still does not happen. Need to add another building to the current alarm system and extend the service contract or change the service provider. As the estate is rented out, I am looking for a security service provider who brings in the components required to provide the service at a monthly/annual fee. Needs to take full responsibility of alarm system operations so tenants are not involved in keeping the system running. Looking for service providers offering such "Security as a Service" model as I don't want to invest in alarm system components but lease them as part of the service.

We are an Old Age Home situated on the Old Main Road in Edendale. We accommodate 55 elderly and frail residents. We also have nursing, admin and kitchen staff. We require one guard at night from 18h00 to 06h00 every night. The service provider would enter into a contract with us on an annual basis, with the right to cancel the contract due to ineffectual service.

Good morning, I will be in Cape Town in August with my family for touristic trip. I have been in Cape Town three times already in the past without having any issue or security fear, but I heard that in the last year criminal rate increased a lot. I won’t visit townships or cape flats zone, only touristic places, good hope cape, Hermanus, Boulders’s driving with rented car. Do you think I would need a private security or are those safe zones?
