The short answer is that it is cheaper to buy an existing house in South Africa but every year less so.

Build walll only one side and extending house in front
Addition of 2 level stoep/patio for corner duplex flat/-unit of Building no.2, in Sectional Title complex. My unit consists of 2 levels. On bottom level, facing West, the desired stoep/patio to extend from downstairs lounge toward the garden. Currently French doors open onto brick slab, The Next level, above the lounge is the main bedroom, A roof over upper level stoep/patio is needed. The New stoeps/patios design needs to appear a replicated image of another building (building no 4.). 2. The ideal stoep size near the lounge on Ground level is Length +- 5m (mm) X Width 1,2m (mm) X H+- 2,6m (+-mm). *A ceiling needs to be added. This also needs to serve as a floor level for the upper stoep level by the main bedroom. *Presumably and preferably 4 square columns are to be added to extend from 4 corners from ground level to next level, and to the new stoep/patio roof level. 3. Above the Lounge is my main bedroom. This upper level stoep's estimated size: e.g. Length +- 3 m (mm). Width. +-1,2m (mm) X H +- 2,5m (mm). The roof-height of my flat's 2nd level stoep/patio by bedroom needs to be below the flat/-unit situated above my flat's 2nd level. (Another unit is above my duplex unit.) Thus, a ceiling, and metal roof (heritage green colour) needs to be affixed. I shall try to send pics of the hoped for style and appearance of 2- level stoep.
