I read the Robert and Kim Kiyosaki book about how a key step in their journey out of debt and towards building an empire was having a bookkeeper with whom they met monthly, starting when they didn't have a lot of money. Amongst the things she brought to the table, certainly the skills/ activities I need are - a monthly reality check meeting of the state of finances - setting financial goals - an accountability partner towards those goals
