Do I need an architect if I want to build a house in South Africa?
A professional that is registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession must submit the building plans before extending, renovating or building a home.
Good Morning I have a 3 bedroom house with two toilets, one bath and a shower, I would like to extend it to a small double storey house because of the space and limited budget, I would like it to have 1. Kitchen 2. Dining area 3. Lounge 4. Main and guest bedroom downstairs 5. Double garage 6 Four bedrooms upstairs, 7. Toilet combined with a showers/bath I’m based in Pretoria West Regards
I need a a pharmacy plan, the layout inside please quote me on a square metre of a a pharmacy that can work in a mall or a free standing complex kind of centre . pharmacy area for schedules items shelving must show, there must be a 2 computers there and 1 pay point inside the pharmacist area say about 30 square meter, then a small 4 by 3 nursing area for injections, hiv testing and so forth where a nurse will be that will have a desk , 1 cabinet for injections and 1 bed, the rest of the floor for non scheduled items and the pay area next to the entry and exit area.
The house has an outdoor shower.there is space to expand the master bedroom and change the bathroom layouts but it will involve trussles and roof work. The layout of the lounge , dining room entrance lobby need reimagining , we need a study/office and would like to keep the house a 3 bedroom yet the existing 2 single bedrooms are quite tight . There is a "cottage"which has potential to link to the main house.

Jim, this is James. I need the name of the company that installed the handless kitchen cabinets. One it crooked and I m afraid it may have to be rerolled. Also the name of the pool people, as the pool cover wants to tear at the seams due to UV damage. I've tried Duct tape, silicon seal and suturing it together. I found a surveyor to do the forprint. I would like to have a rustic modern homestyle double story because I’m living by Kosmos by the dam I want the bedrooms to be downstairs and the lounge kitchen and dining upstairs with a separate toilet, but also I want to install solar systems so the roof should be facing the north mostly if you understand what I mean

Planning to purchase a plot in a new development and will need an architect to design a contemporary style house. Double story with 4 bedrooms. Total plot size is about msq. Not ready for the service yet but I ant to find an architect that we would like to use. Must be experienced with modern contemporary design with reasonable pricing.
