Every South African homeowner can avoid lots of problems by waterproofing their homes.
I had a new roof installed but i'm not sure if its done correctly and cant get hold of the guys now. Would like to know if i need to do anything or just wait until it breaks. There seems to be alot of movement on the new sheeting. Installed chromoadek but its not as firm as the old rotten one. Sheets seem to be drilled in firm at the scews. The other thing i'm concerned about is the headwall and sidewall flashing, it does not seem flush against the wall and they just put membrane and sealed it.

The residents mentioned that the trees were a problem and they wanted some removed and others trimmed. These are all merely suggestions on exterior upgrades and maintenance to the property. Specific needs were not mentioned and therefore this quote is given on face value and on inspection of the property. At a later stage the driveway and paving can be looked at. 5. Prior to purchase of property. On the ceilings I noticed small water marks, like condensation. I am in the UK and looked on Google earth and noticed that there are two areas which look like water pooling. I need an inspection to advise of issue, can it be repaired or replaced and cost and timeframe
We have a room built against a hill, which means that there is soil directly against half the height of one wall. When it rains, water in the soil seeps down and through the wall, damaging the carpet and the paintwork in the room. What is needed is comprehensive damp-proofing along the length of the wall, and down to foundation level.
We have purchased a house in Century City and would like to have it painted inside before we move in at the end of October. We will need the walls, Ceiling, skirtings and doors painted. Ceiling and skirtings should be white. Doors Grey and walls off-white/grey. We need to still choose the paint colours . We require a quote from a reputable painter for this job.
I need some maintenance and relatively minor (hopefully) repairs and painting done on my home including; bathroom grout/silicone repair, kitchen cabinet repair (hoping maintenance can be done rather than a remodel) and some painting done due to minor water damage in spots. The property is a residential complex. The outside walls, some roofs and walkways need painting. Best would be if a contractor could view the property before quoting. As I do not always have my phone with me I would appreciate a WhatsApp. A contractor has started the job but then ran off with the money without doing most of the work.
