Our neighbours built raised their wall and the winter rain was falling on our roof. They did not put in a pipe for drainage until later on and as a result the water remained on our roof as our roof is not very sloped. Since then the think pink material inside the ceiling is soaked and because the gap between the roof and ceiling isn't much there's very little circulation. The ceiling is now hanging in one section of the house and there's leaks in the house. The water also drips down the walls from where the skirting is loose. We now have a dampness issue in the house. When the sun is out the water runs down the walls and leaks in the house. We have metal sheets on the roof at the bottom.
Farm house roof (corigated Iron) is leading in two sections, main bedroom and kitchen. Need the leaking sections waterproofed. May also need to have the rest of the roof inspected for other leaks. Ceilings in mainbedroom, guest bedroom and kitchem to be replaced (only sections of the ceilings in each room). However, would need someone to come out and inpect first and advise and then quote. We will be on the farm from 24th September for a couple of weeks, so if the inspection can happen either Wed 24th Sep or Thu 25th Sep it would be appreciated. If adive and quote is accepted we would need the job done asap, while we are still on the farm, which is only a couple of weeks. Please note I need someone that is in the area as I do not have accommodation for the team on the farm, so they would have to travel in every day and I cannot afford to pay travel costs. So preferably someone from Orkney or Klerksdorp.
Roof paint or spray, remove gutters and replace with facia boards, about 5 tile have shifted but not leaking. The house is facebrick with about 1m on top that needs to be painted and front and back side have more plaster that needs to be painted. I would just like a approximate price. It's a small house, about 98m2 plus the overhang of the roof.
The house originally built with later additions, has three roof areas..... 1.) A 72 sq mt asbestos roof that needs remove and dispose. Roof timbers are good and prefer retain. 2.) A 40 sq mt flat cement fibre roof that needs remove and dispose. Needs new pitched roof timbers and roof covering. 3.) A 42 sq mt new section with good cement fibre roof, prefer retain. There is a section of my roof where the roof under-lay / material under roof vibrates with the wind. It makes a loud sound where it interfaces with the gutter/barge-board toward end of roof. We are experiencing water leaks during rainy days. and when we inspected the roof, the drain area was block with debris and the insulation seems to have lifted (as depicted in the attached photograph), which seems to be the reason for the leak. We appreciate if you could also assess the rest of the roof (near drainage pipes). Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
We have a roof that was not build correctly which is caving in and leaking during heavy rains. We would appreciate a complete overhaul of the roof by reusing the current tiles on the roof and added anything else that might be needed to do a proper job. Please see attached the pictures of the outside roof. The floor area is approximately square metres.
