Installing electricity from scratch in a 6 roomed house with a toilet( seventh room) The dB will be in a kitchen. The lounge will have 2 plug points and 1 double switch, the kitchen will have 3 plug points and 1 double switch. The main bedroom will have 2 plug points and I switch. The second bedroom will have 1 plug point and 1 switch. Third bedroom will as well have 1 plug point and 1 switch. The fourth will have 1 plug point and 1 switch. The lounge will have 5 dull lights. The kitchen will have 6 dull lights. Other rooms will have each normal lights.
I would like to convert our garage into a room that doubles as a home office/gym. i.e. home office during the day, gym in the evening. Good evening I am looking to extend my boundary wall. The length and height that needs to be build is as per the below: Section one Length 13 meters Height mm Section two Length 8 meters Height 2 meters Section three Length 15 meters Height 1.2 There is an existing wall that has steel on it. The above measurements differ because the height of the actual differs throughout the driveway. Furthermore, we would like to add roofing to 21 meters in length and 4 to 5 meters in breadth. Upgrade an existing separate servant's toilet, with new modern fittings. 3. Enclose an existing double carport, for use as a new garage. Or build a new double garage, depending on regulations. 4. Remodel/rebuild an existing lapa area with built-in braai. The current supporting structure is a combination of bricks and sleeper wood, with a thatched roof. Want to change the supporting structure to be bricks only and replace thatch with tiles, in full. Keeping built-in braai, in place. 5. Getting the plans in order, after that the building will commence.

Installation of ceiling fans, ceiling lights and repair of oven. 1. Ceiling fan (and light) in the lounge: Installation of fan with a new fitting and "line". A new switch will have to be fitted. Current switch has two "levers" and this will require its own. Fitting a 3 lever switch. 2. Ceiling fan (and light) in the bedroom: Installation of fan and a new fitting and "line". A new switch will have to be fitted. Current switch has one "lever" and this will require its own. Fitting a 2 lever switch. 3. Installation of 4 new in-ceiling lights added to existing lines and switches between dining room and kitchen. - I have the ceiling fans and light fittings for the above. I will be purchasing new switches for the above. 4. Evaluation and Repair of oven. Faulty element? The oven preheats but after a few minutes it trips the DB board. The oven is a Defy undercounter oven - UMS. 5. Fitting a switch for a light in a corner cupboard (pantry cupboard). The light is an in-ceiling light linked to the kitchen ceiling lights. I would like to have a separate switch to turn this light off independently. 6. Replacement of current in-ceiling lights (standard GU10 bulb fitting and "holder") in bathroom (2 fittings) to a fitting that is better sealed from moisture for this environment.
We need help renovating our home we are purchasing. Its a 3 bedroom townhouse in a complex. We anticipate geting most of the rooms carpeted, sitting room as well as the stairs. The bathrooms (2) also need a retouch, and in the balconies we would like to close off with clear glass slide doors, as well as maybe add in a small room/storage area on the ground level on the garden side.
In the process of purchasing a fixer- upper and would like an idea of remodelling costs. Looking at a 3 bedroom flat in need of a strip out of old carpentry and flooring, paint and fit out including new kitchen, bathroom, toilet, wardrobes and refurbish of flooring. Looking to do this on a budget and keep costs down. Hoping for a functional and clean finish.
