How long does an architectural project typically last?
Let's go over the timeline for the construction of a new family home.
I want to break out one wall to make provision for shower, needs a bathroom door to be installed, break out of existing wall tiles and floor tiles. Re-tiling of 2 small bathrooms to ceiling and installing of new floor tiles, new bathtub, toilets and vanity/basin combo’s, break out of current kitchen tiles, moving of current sink to washing room, smoothing of walls in washing room, new ceiling in washing room, breakout of few cupboards, instaliing of new cupboards which must be discussed, installing new floor tiles. Painting of house inside celings, walls, doors and skirtings. I do have all the taps, new bathtub, vanity/basin combos, tiles and toilets.
Bathroom 1 - total renovation of current bathroom (new bath, basin and cabinet, toilet and new shower to be built), add extractor fan & re tile - see photo attached (photo 1) of current bathroom and sketch of new bathroom. Bathroom 2 (on-suite) -changing the shower head to be higher(tall people), change individual water taps to a single mixer (dual taps don't mix water well at the moment), increase diameter of drainage pipe in shower (water clogs up very quick), re- tile the bathroom (photo 2) and add extractor fan. 1. The worktop, cupboard and sink should be removed to allow access to the mould infected wall, which should be scoured, disinfected, waterproofed and repainted. 2. The entire cupboard under the sink, including the shelf and two doors must be replaced, as the damage is irreparable. 3. The sink cannot be repaired and must be replaced. 4. The entire affected worktop up to the joint with the worktop in the stove area should be replaced, as the damage is irreparable. 6.Once the worktop has been removed, the adjoining cupboards must be inspected for mould contamination and replaced if found to be water damaged or mould infected.
So this is a approximately m2 yard, with a small 2 bedroom with open plan kitchen and lounge with small bathroom space RDP house. The house is fully tubed. We want to build a 4 to 5 meter wall on all sides and a nice looking fence in front of the house. We also want to make renovations in all of the rooms i.e: New ceiling all over the house, the walls have cracks so we need plastering and painting, new aluminum windows(5) and doors(2), a small patio in front of the house, 2 one bedroom open plan kitchen and lounge backrooms and paving in most of the yard with a drainage for the rain.

I currently have a single story house and want a double story rooms on ground :guest bedroom with en-suite, guest toilet dining area, kitchen, lounge and double garage, patio and upper floor main bedroom with en-suite and walk in closet, 2 bedrooms with shared bathroom and toilet, lounge , home office and gym.
