The project (addition of a braai room) started out very professional and insightful. Roelf of SDB brought ideas, solutions and plans to make our architect designed room a reality. He had a very kind demeanour and we trusted him fully. The builders he introduced us to also were very knowledgeable and skilled. However, this didn’t last long once the build began and we are more than disappointed in the service and build.
Once the build began, the builders were replaced with another, much less skilled team. All in all, we had over 20 builders on site. Roelf continued to work at a site 100km away, though we were told in our meetings that he would only work on our project. That meant he was rarely on site, and eventually stopped coming all together. We are now 3 months past the promised completion date, have paid additional money out of our pocket to hire additional builders and purchase materials to get the room to be usable (though still not complete). We paid Roelf for high quality materials that he failed to deliver though they were said to be ordered three months ago. He has also failed to provide invoices for these products despite our repeated requests. The builders which Roelf hired from us stole multiple items from us, our neighbor, and from an airbnb which was used to house them temporarily, to a value of several thousand rand. Shocking service delivery and horrible build quality. Would not recommend.
