Tree felling prices depend on several factors. We have examined prices of different services and what influences them and pointed out what you need to pay attention to in order to get the best value for your money.
Small tree felling is a service tailored for trees up to 5 meters in height. This service is generally more affordable due to the reduced labor and equipment required. It includes the complete removal of the tree, including cutting it down and sectioning it into manageable pieces for disposal or recycling. The price is primarily determined by the tree's accessibility, the proximity to structures or power lines, and the amount of cleanup required afterward. This service is ideal for residential properties looking to remove potentially hazardous or unwanted small trees. On average, expect to be charged between R1000 and R3100 for small tree felling.

Factors affecting the price include the tree's location, the need for traffic control or specialized equipment, and disposal requirements. This service often involves detailed planning, the use of cranes or high-reach equipment, and a team of professionals to ensure the tree is felled safely and efficiently. The price depends on the tree's size, location, accessibility, and the complexity of the job, including any necessary permits or road closures. The cost of large tree felling typically runs from R8100 to R19,000, averaging at R11,000.
Get quotesThis service usually involves grinding the stump down below ground level or physically removing it, which can be labor-intensive. The process not only prevents the stump from sprouting new growth but also eliminates a potential tripping hazard and clears the space for new planting or landscaping projects. Prices for stump removal vary widely, depending on the stump's size, the complexity of its root system, and the difficulty of access. For stump removal, expect to pay between R800 and R4400.

cutting of grass and trim, cutting 1 tree, and preparing and fixing flowers
Currently there are a few banana palms etc which I would like to stay, but the rest requires clearing - some horrible roots (palm tree) and an oliander tree to be removed. The ground needs to be leveled in places. Then I would like the entire garden composted because our soil is very sandy. And then planted up with beds, no lawn, but rather ground cover. Is it possible to give me a quote for the design and labor alone? I can get a good price for the compost and plants as I have always bought them from Boschoff Nursery.
