How to choose a painter
The quality of your outcome will only be as good as the contractor you enlist for the project
I am considering purchasing a dilapidated house and renovating it. I think it needs the slate roof replaced entirely (roof trusses as well). The tiling area (not floor area) is approximately m2. Please could you provide me with a quick, rough quote (to the nearest R,) how much you would do it for? I have attached some pictures of the house. I am available on email.
1.Need a washing machine to be installed, no pipes and no water outlet connection, only tap. Need to break through the wall, need to make it neat and painted afterwards 2.The kitchen tap is leaking 3.I need a small welding job on the lawn mower 4. Fourteen living units in the complex, with more or less 3 rooms each. Five big windows per unit. Some safety grids and two small doors outside also need to be painted, 4-5 smaller windows (0.5 m per window) as well. We want to remove all the old paint as it has cracked severely. Some windows have cracks in as well that need to be filled in the process.
10 roomed house to be painted on the outside. I would need a good roof painter to seal our large IBR roof as it requires sealing in some areas like joints and roof screws that has been sealed before not more than 3months ago I need a good roof painter to relook at this to assure all is in order in this regard to protect me as the owner going forward as the insurance company I have requires that maintenance has been done through me to pay a claim if I have leaks going forward etc. House roof area is Square meters covering my entire home. Our roof has been leaking for the past 11 years. The insurance has fixed it, we have tried fixing it and it is still leaking. We will need to replace the roof completely. We will need some advice with regards to what material to use for the roof. We are planning on getting solar panels installed in future so the roofing material used need to be able to hold solar panels.

Put up shelf in garage above head height to store suitcases Attach latch type lock to garage door that interleads into house Move hinges on 2 cupboard doors on bathroom vanity and re-hang the doors Replace heavy drawer in laundry with a light drawer (or basket drawer) - will require new runners as well. Similar thing in kitchen cupboard under sink. Wire basket drawer keeps falling off runners Small steps required at bottom of alleyway between us and neighbours. Old wooden stairs broke and its very high to have to jump down to get to wash line Some areas of deck around pool have collapsed. Need to be lifted and re-attached. Possibly a few planks might need replacing in a few areas on deck.
We have a spec sheet of the products required - We require 5 x light posts to be cemented in, primed and painted. n 5 x solar lights to be fitted to the poles. 1 x solar light to be bolted to a wall and two more lights to be attached to a bell tower (traffic circle) with extension / fastening poles
