Absolutely nothing. Communication was poor, we were mislead and taken advantage of. They are not professional and I would even argue that they do not know what they are doing. A carpenter should know which steps to take to renovate a wooden window. But they tried to skip steps and charge me extra when I questioned if they would include these steps. Such as, putting and sealing the window frames before painting. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone! We have lost R8000 and it has been an ongoing fight. Highly disappointed!!!!
I honestly wish I could give minus stars. We were totally in disbelief and so disappointed with Cape Carpenters. We made a 70% deposit per the quote and unfortunately did not get even close to what we initially asked for. Everything was a fight from the quote to the actual job. I asked for 8 wooden windows to be fixed. Ernest sent his guys to come and measure. They left without a word. I then recieved a quote. My mother paid the 70% deposit. I then noticed that they were only putting stripper on the outside window and questioned it. Only to be told that the quote was for the external window only. I never asked for internal or external, I asked that the windows be fixed. The quote also doesn't say internal or external, it is a quote to sand, fix and paint 8 windows. This became a fight. Then I asked if the putty would be included. It was not. I asked for a quote which he tried to charge me an extra R4600 for. I asked his foreman if this was normal and he said no, it should have been included in the quote and not charged extra. This became a second fight. He also only sent one man to do all 8 windows. But keeps claiming he sent a few. I work from home. I know who was on my premises at all times. There was only one man. The quote was stated for 3 days on day 3 he had only started sanding windows. I had to ask the man to stop what he was doing and leave because he started sanding my wooden windows with a grinder without covering my electronics.
