The worst moving experience I have ever had. On the day they sent a small truck that should have done 2 loads, but in the end had to do another load. the storage unit closed at 5.30, and at 4.15 they sat outside my old residence arguing with their controller about the last load. I had paid R4600, but the controller wanted another R1500 from me before they would move the last load. It was a Friday afternoon, and the traffic was really bad in Fourways. I was worried that they would not make it before 5.30, so I negotiated with them to pay an extra R800, which they wanted in cash before they could leave. Well we made it just in time.
I asked them to pack the boxes down the one side of the storeroom and the furniture on the other. Well they just went ahead and packed furniture on top of furniture, and then the boxes. They were standing on the furniture, some of which they broke, and were packing boxes 3 to 4 metres above ground. How they expect pensioners to get to anything I don't know. My husband is 85 and I am 75.
