Do I need an architect if I want to build a house in South Africa?
A professional that is registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession must submit the building plans before extending, renovating or building a home.

I like to shop at second-hand and antique stores rather than buying brand new boilerplate stuff. This is not necessarily to save money, but for the character and pieces that are interesting. The house is just over sqm, with large living/dining area and 2 bedrooms. Kitchen and bathroom are largely set in stone. I need serious working space somewhere. My style is kind of traditional farmhouse, but not cluttered or fussy, with a touch of eclectic.

My mother will be occupying a room her colour is blue but not harsh. Then the main bedroom looks out to the vineyard.. Then there are two living spaces as well as the kitchen that needs to be furnished. This is a big project but we would like to finish the main area first. My partner is From Rwanda and his kids I am from South Africa. We have two weeks to complete the main areas because the children will come to visit. Oh we need appliances for the kitchen aa well.

Good day I need ideas for small spaces in the house to maximize the use for it. For instance, I have 2 rooms, on the smaller side, but have to accommodate 2 kids per room.
