A deck sits over my bedroom. The deck has a water feature and has planter trenches built into the low perimeter wall of the deck. There are signs of damp in the ceiling of the bedroom. I suspect the water feature and planter trenches are the source of the damp. I want to remove the water feature and trenches, and ensure that those areas are waterproof.
Good day. There is a few things we want to do. 1. Remove old car port and build new one. 2. Break down braai area and build indoor braai with chimney. 3. Extend car port to backyard adding windows and sliding door, and back door. 4. Add lighting. 5. Move outdoor water pipe to the front. 6. Remove paving and add tiles. 7. Remove old artificial grass and add new one. 8. Break down pillar. That's what I recall.
Recently my EL on the main DB has been tripping. There is a grid typed inverter(installed 6-8 years ago) with neutral and earth internally bonded before this EL, that has it's own DB board with it's own EL downstream of the inverter. Problem varies in frequency but becoming more frequent. Main DB and EL runs the house. Stove. Geyser. Rooms etc.
I live in an old Victorian house. It’s a grade IIB listed property. I’ll be doing heritage-approved renovations. I’m looking for a builder that understands the requirements for these old homes as all building work needs to be sympathetic to the materials used in these houses (ie, lime mortar and plaster). Portland cement cannot be used as part of this project. Airplast is a good project that should be used instead, so a builder with knowledge of this product or similar is essential.

Remove all existing bathroom floor and wall tiles. Hi i would like the following done: a. the outside area around the house to be water and damp proved b. the outside area to be tarred and clear fenced c. the driveway from the house to the entrance of the road to be tarred d. the entire house to be sealed and damp protected e. the entire house to be painted f. the bathroom requires: two taps in the bath, the existing sink to be replaced, a full shower fitting with a rod for a shower curtain and a toilet roll holder. e. the geyser to be installed but need to be discussed before purchase f. 2 bedrooms requires built in cupboards e. kitchen needs built in cupboards with sink and taps requires replacing the roof also requires damp proving
We would like to re-do the whole bathroom. Remove the bath and install a shower. replace the tiles on the wall and floor. Replace the toilet and basin and add a floating shelves under the basin. we would also like to re place the ceiling and lights. I want a rain shower as well as a adjustable hand shower. we currently have a shower in the bath but may need to move the pipes to accommodate the new design. We would also like to place the toilet in a different location in the bathroom to make it more spacious. We have an idea of the layout but we are open to suggestions. We would like to start mid March, but would like to work out the budget before then. our bathroom size: cm length by cm width.
Recently had a Mercer inverter installed. Can't understand why green light stops and goes on all the time. This is the 2nd set of batteries he got for me. He doesn't get back to me. I am on pension and have been badly let down and taken advantage of. I cannot afford to pay a large sum of money for a call out. I just need advice please. Deeply disappointed and depressed about the matter. This is not what i bargained for. Thank you.
