Our experience with GDN Construction was absolutely horrible. They are money hungry and I would never recommend them to anybody! They kept doing things on our property without discussing with us first and then would give us all of these surprise bills that they wanted us to pay. For example, they randomly told us one day that we owe R20 000 for rubble? They said they would have a structural engineer come out, this person was never on site. To this day we still don't know if what they built is even structurally sound. They were supposed to come back and fix the electrical work since it was faulty but were no shows. The last time they were on our property, they came and acted like they were working. They even sent my husband to go buy things and when he came back the site was completely clean, they took all their tools and they were gone! Absolute tricksters and scammers!
Good day Thank you for the review, as GDN Construction Director l am very disappointed to hear all this from our client whom we believed we went out of the way with the tight budget the client had to assist to complete the project at a very high standard and according to the standards of the NHRBC, as GDN Construction we pride ourselves in delivering high-quality services to our clients, small scale or large scale projects we treat them with care as all clients are valuable to us. GDN Construction can assure our client that we have done the project according to the drawings that were provided to us and we have done the project and completed all the scope of the work that was assigned to us as agreed before the commencement of the project, And we went beyond our boundaries assisting our client with a lot of alterations that were not in the scope of work at no cost. That was our value add to the service and building a good relationship with our client. To Answer the queries of our client, which we were not aware of l Duma the director of GDN Construction have personally engaged with the client after we handed over the site to them on several occasions to check if there is anything from the work we have done that they are not happy with so we can come out to fix it, we do that to add value to our services. 2) We always discuss things upfront with our client, we don't just add or send bills without engaging before. 3) Our engineer came on site more than once, we always have an engineer who comes and inspects reinforcement before casting concrete, that's a procedure we always follow. 4)All our work was checked and confirmed with the client before handing over. l cannot say anything bad about our client, we had a good relationship throughout the project.

Dear Sirs As previously advised we wish to constructions an off street parking area at a private home - this will require excavation work of +-- 60sm ( max depth from 1.2 metres graduated down to street level) wall retention, and the construction of a 'T' shaped carport footprint. We also wish to construct a single garage in the driveway. Free quotations will be appreciated. Regards IVOR WALDECK 9 Manson Road, Newlands
I would like to convert our garage into a room that doubles as a home office/gym. i.e. home office during the day, gym in the evening. The idea is to end up with one large room after the following has been done: 1. Seal off the garage door 2. Add a frosted window to the sealed garage door that opens (for fresh air) 3. Add 2 large windows and a door on the adjacent wall Outside the garage is a covered open parking which I would also like to convert to a closed parking as follows: 1. Add a large gate to make it a closed parking 2. Add metal bars on top of the adjacent durawall similar to the ones on the opposite wall
Good evening I am looking to extend my boundary wall. The length and height that needs to be build is as per the below: Section one Length 13 meters Height mm Section two Length 8 meters Height 2 meters Section three Length 15 meters Height 1.2 There is an existing wall that has steel on it. The above measurements differ because the height of the actual differs throughout the driveway. Furthermore, we would like to add roofing to 21 meters in length and 4 to 5 meters in breadth. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Regards
1. Remodel an existing garage, with adjoining servant's quarter, into one big area (intending to use it as home office space). 2. Upgrade an existing separate servant's toilet, with new modern fittings. 3. Enclose an existing double carport, for use as a new garage. Or build a new double garage, depending on regulations. 4. Remodel/rebuild an existing lapa area with built-in braai. The current supporting structure is a combination of bricks and sleeper wood, with a thatched roof. Want to change the supporting structure to be bricks only and replace thatch with tiles, in full. Keeping built-in braai, in place. 5. Getting the plans in order, after that the building will commence.
