Good evening everyone.....i have a 6months old baby...lost my mom last year...had to make my own way..was living in a room for 3months...got a number by my aunt..this person will help me get a place...i trust my aunt so i thought i could trust the lady she recommended tooo me...little did i know...i had to pay 6months in advance rent..got to the place..geyser not working...toilet broken..bath blocked and the list goes on..the Agent showed me the place with video call...everything look okay..but it is not..2weeks in living here geyser still not working only the front door got a new lock since somebody got in stole some of my things..then they came to fix the problem..can someone please give me advice..the contract is not right i sighed for 6months the agent made it for 1year...he comes back and asked if i can sign again to make it 6months but i don't wnt to sign..how can i get our of the contract..please help...the place even has rats in roof...
I'm currently married in ANC, however I have a 5 year old child, there is no assest or property to be split, it just the custody for my son, they have threatened me several times that they want custody of him, however his dad is not an active parent, his being on drugs and rehabs several times, I also have a protection order and a warrant of arrest against him as he was abusive, so under no circumstance is he a fit enough father to have shared custody even over weekends as his so unpredictable, I want to apply for supervised visits just to make sure that my child is under good supervision and care, his family lives under a toxic environment where they randomly just call the police for each other, I just need to know my son is safe, how do I go about doing so
Physical abuse at work during an investigative meeting towards me for poor work conduct after I requested a copy of the full recording to be sent to me whilist I was in the meeting and was declined the request but advised you will only receive the transcript . I grabbed the phone that was recording to ask why can I not receive the copy of the recording as byblaw I am entitled to it since I have consent for the recording . Then from no where the senior manager jumped over my neck from the back side straining my back and neck trying to get the phone hurting my thumb also and then eventually the phone locked and she let go . Could not attend work the following day stiff neck and sore thumb the Wednesday visited doc and was given an additional 3 days sick leave with a doc note just want to find out what is the way forward

We are 80 employees who are seeking legal labour law representation. We are employed by South African Maritime Safety Authority, Marine Special Projects (SAMSA MSP). We are working on Patrol and Research Vessels for the South African Government. The Company we are employed by is an Agency, a division of SAMSA who is a South African Government entity. We have been working onboard these ships since .We sign three years contracts in succession, one after the other, without the prospects of permanency, without provident/pension fund, without medical aid, without any sort of benefits associated with being permanent employees. When you reach 65 years of age, you retire with nothing but your last months salary. We pay tax to SARS, UIF is deducted and only recently a discrepancy was discovered whereby our overtime rate had been at 1,25 for the last 9 years, instead of it being 1,50. Our tax code was changed many years ago, resembling office workers, when we are in fact Seafarers who are working locally, on South African ships, for the South African Government, sailing in South African waters. We feel that our labour law rights are being infringed upon by our Company and the matters of dispute can only be cleared up by going the legal route.
I was served with the interem protection order in March . The court date was the 9 March . I was in court and the judge made it final . But I was never served the final order by the police . Does this make the final protection order valid or not . I was charges last year September for contrevening the protection order . My ex wife say I sent her messages and that they see as harassment. There was no threats or any foul language. that was the reason the judge gave me bail
Good day I would like to launch a CCMA case against my employer. My salary has been reduced without my consent. I was also promised I will be placed back on a higher paying site to earn the salary I was contracted for, but that never happend. They then took me off the lower paying site completely due to a situation I had no control over, missing 1 day of work. Telkom has blocked my number, unbeknownst to me, and I could not be reached by my employer on the day I was to perform a task. I do not know when I will be needed beforehand as they communicated telephonically on the mornings I was to assist. After 7 months of asking and pleading, I send an email to HR and CEO pointing out several unfair labour practises, after which I then received a notice of possible retrenchment. I went for consultation and was offered a lower paying position or the option to be placed back on the site they took me from after missing a day of work. I later communicated via mail that I would need to take the retrenchment option so I can at least claim my uif. I did not have the cash to travel to and from site at that point. They dropped my salary from R to a unstable salary where I only earned R last month. After informing them that I have no choice but to take the retrenchment option, they have been ignoring all further communication from me. I fully believe they are ignoring me as they know I have no funds and therefore cant even travel to the CCMA offices to open a case against them. I suspect that they want me to resign in order for them not to pay me a retrenchment settlement. I also know that if I am permanently employed, they must pay me my contracted salary even if I am sitting at home as they are failing to provide me with work even though I am capable of performing my duties, but I know they wont as they have been doing everything else that goes against the labour law. I have also requested an appointment letter, but they are also ignoring that request. There are a lot more details to this, and I was hoping you could help on a contingency basis. I feel the company started treating me this way after I advised HR that I suffer from sound sensitivety issues, a condition called misophonia. I am hoping someone will get back to me as I have mailed a few different lawyers but have received no reply from anyone as of yet.
