Is it cheaper to build or buy a house in South Africa in 2025?
The short answer is that it is cheaper to buy an existing house in South Africa but every year less so.
Wish to do extension on top of current house. Extending with 3beds & 3baths. Want to build and eco friendly structure
I would like to add 3 rooms ontop, and add two bathrooms as well and extend the kitchen.

We are looking for a very basic plan to build a family home in the bush. Main house plus 3 cottages plus storeroom. Price matters a lot to us. We pay a % building levy to the estate, per square m, (hence strict per square m guideline). Must have thatch or Harvey tile roof. (Estate rules). (we want Harvey tile). Price matters.
Good day. We are wanting to extend our single garage into a tandum garage. Also wanting to add on a braai room of about 24sqm, one side will be the extended garage wall and one side will be the house / sliding door to lounge. The other sides to be glass and alliminium with stacker doors on one side.
Include 3,2m X 2m pool on building plan.
