this is for budgeting purpose. we will probably require an 8 or 10 kw installation. maybe with a separate solar geyser or conversion. basically manage when Eskom lets us down for more than just a few hours of loadshedding. its a smallish house, but we do have a water pump for using rainwater in the house when we do not get fresh water feed from municipality. 2 permanent occupants.

The house is to accommodate 20 students in 12 rooms who need two stoves, four Microwaves, four geysers, two washing machines, ten medium size fridges, 20 internal and 10 external security lights and 40 double room plugs, an electric fence. Not all activities requiring electric power simultaneously: stoves are used 2hrs morning (6-8 am) and 2 hrs evening (5-7 pm); Geysers are to be timed twice for 2 hrs (4-6 am & 6-8 pm); no hot water in kitchen sinks or hand wash basins.

Remove existing Solar Water Geyser, replace broken 1 or 2 tile/s, which were broken during installation ten years ago. Roof has leaked from the broken tiles despite many attempts to repair. The removal of geyser and glass tube passive solar heaters, repair of 1 or 2 tiles, and replacement of the solar water glass tubes and geyser is the only solution. Selected contractor will inspect the site, explain intended method of repair, and give a labour only price. Site inspection at 2pm, Mon 5 May, Tues 6May to Wed 7 May.
I currently have: 8x w canadian solar panels 2x freedom won etower 5kw 1x synsynk 85w hybrid inverter I'm not getting enough energy with the current 8 panels (I can get 20kw in summer, but am now getting 10kwh per day). They are installed on a flat metal garage roof, mountained and tilted upwards. The original installer has emigrated and is not available. I would like to install 5 more panels to give me sufficient energy input into the system.
