When do I need a building permit in South Africa?
In South Africa, building applications for the construction of property and land use are highly regulated.
I want to sell my house and there are some of the rooms like garage and an extra room which is not on the house plans I got from the Municipality 20 years ago. I need a professional gardener who will be able to my garden and then paving. It will be just a one-time job. So it's basically trimming the trees and the lawn. We rent our freestanding home with garden. It has not been watered and much in the garden has died. There are mature trees throwing lots of shade. The soil type is naturally clay, but the beds have been enriched previously. I only want hardy waterwise plants. The small lawn needs replacement (in shade a good deal of the day). The gravel parking areas alongside the drive need weed killing. An overgrown ornamental vine trellis needs a strong prune. And beyond that, some general flower bed neatening.

I have an existing commercial property that requires remodelling. However, I am struggling to get the building from the Municipality because the building is quite old.
