I’m am looking at 8 panels and on a garage roof and about 8 to 10 panels on a tiled thatch roof. The thatch roof will require structural changes to support the panels on the tiled roof. Because of the shape of the roof which cause irregular shading I will also need micro inverters to be installed. I have a Victron inverter and two Dyness 5kw batteries installed. I would need a further Victron 5kw inverter and one more Dyness battery.

I live on the second floor and my apartment got flooded. The water leaked to my downstairs neighbor, it was dripping onto her plug with her cellphone charger attached. Our home solar system appears to have adequate capacity which is underutilised. Currently the geyser and stove are not connected to the solar system ('Non-Essential'), but I would like them connected. The idea would be that if the energy usage goes into overload (we would monitor carefully, and only use one large power consumption device at a time), then automatically Eskom would kick-in. I need a quote from a reliable contractor who deals with solar installations, and who will provide a written warranty. I will preferably pay by credit card. Someone suggested: Install a 5 kW Solis S6‑EO1P5K‑L grid‑tie inverter with 12 × JA Solar W N‑Type panels (6S + 6S), AC‑coupled to my existing Sunsynk 8 kW hybrid inverter in zero‑export mode. I have a 3 bedroom house, kitchen, lounge, office and two bathrooms, a pool, a bar and entertainment area. I also have a guest room wendy house, that eventually will get a bathroom and lounge added as well as a two bedroom flatlet with bathroom, kitchen lounge. All these will have to be completely off the grid and run on solar so quote on something big enough. Also electric gates x 2, automated garage and electric fence top to bottom.
Hi, our inverter is currently connected directly to the building electricity supply. The problem is that whenever the inverter has issues, we lose electricity completely. We would like someone to bypass the inverter when it has faults so that we can still have electricity from the building supply. Please let us know if this is possible and how much it would cost.
