Our neighbour has complained that our recent home alterations has caused cracks in her walls (photo attached). Despite consulting an engineer and insurance assessor on the matter who says it is most unlikely that it is due to our renovations she insists we pay for it. I have an exciting house in Limpopo, which am currently extending and wanting some few renovations on it. We are renovating and extending our house. We are breaking down all internal walls to create an open plan design, extending the braai area roof and building a bedroom, walk-in closet and master bathroom on top (Adding a floor to the existing ground floor) of the existing bedrooms. The house has two levels: Level 1, garages and front paving area and Level 2 is garden and main house where stair-case leads from the gate. In order to increase the bottom parking area we need to extend it by excavating the adjacent garden area which is about 2 meter high from the bottom and to straighten the staircase.
