Hi I'm an independent contractor with a courier company. Signed a 5yr contract last year April. Monday(4 May) a few of us received termination letters, reason being "we costing the company more than we make" but with that they offer a new contract, mostly benefiting them. This new contract they tried to implement earlier this year across the country for all drivers, but everyone said no as it's only benefiting the company. Now they have this new strategy of targeting only a few. I haven't signed the 30 day termination letter, but know that doesn't make it invalid. Thanks
Myself and my partner have been paying toward my mother’s property expenses, including the mortgage bond and upkeep, for many years (since around ), with the understanding that the property would ultimately be transferred/sold to me. A signed Agreement of Sale exists acknowledging these bond payments. There is now a family dispute, and I need urgent legal advice on whether we have an enforceable claim or reimbursement/unjust enrichment claim, and whether steps need to be taken to protect the property or sale proceeds.

I had rented my car to someone and this person ran away with it, I got him arrested and he was supposed to appear in court but I closed the case after the family and members of the church begged me. One month later I saw the same person at my doorstep with police not in uniform and it was on Sunday evening. They took me to the station to make me write I mean coercive affidavit that I owed the guy who stole my car and got him released...I was intimidated that if I didn't write I'll be detained....I feared for my life and wrote that I owed him R, which the court ruled by forcing me to pay within 14 days if not I'll be arrested. I stay on the 2nd floor of a sassa residence whereby a frail tenant kept locking the only exit in case of emergency. No action taken from head office. I had to get the fireman in to set an emergency exit and i am then given 12 days eviction to leave by 31st March. I am m still here but under duress till i get another home
I just turned 18, there are funds that rightfully belong to me which I was supposed to recieve on my 18th year legally but my mother has made it clear to me that she will work in her best interests to not let me take legal action as I’ve been threatened/intimidated and kidnapped ever since, currently I’m on the run and I am not home just in Gauteng, but I was kept in Limpopo for 3 months forcefully without my consent after my 18th birthday all because I let it be known that I was going to take legal action against her for my claim which she received when I was a minor last year. Currently or been trying to get legal aid and I’ve been failing, lawyers are involved in this case aswelll already but they are ignoring me because I’m not that knowledgeable/young and I’ve contacted the LPC countless times to file complaint about these lawyers aswell and I’ve been failing to do so.
