I want to build a main house with 2 cottage houses. the main house ( sqm) should have 3 bedrooms (main bedroom with ensuite) open plan kitchen, dining, TV room lounge and double garage. the cottage houses (at least 70sqm~sqm each) should have two bedrooms (all ensuite) and an open plan kitchen dining lounge and single garage. the entire buildings can be designed in U shape or H shape with the main house in the flanked by the cottage houses. all this on a plot.
We would like to build a two bedroom flat extension onto the main house. The property already has a 2 bedroom flat, so we not allowed to have another dwelling, and therefore the new flat needs to be connected with the house. Attached is more or less what we want. So the flat and the house will be separated with a "stoep" The main house has a pitch roof, so not sure how the flat's roofing will connect to the main house as the flat will go in the opposite direction. My dads house in Linden we are selling has no plans in existence being years old. The verandas were enclosed, a pool added and we therefore apparently need to provide draw.n plans to buyer as well as getting plans approved at the council. What would this cost and how long until approval usually pls?
