We were looking for an affordable contractor for our house extension (we wanted to add a master bedroom that is ensuite with walk in closet and an double garage in front and a dining room with a living room, a bigger and open kitchen). Procompare helped us find an architect and a building contractor for the project. All I can say is: great service!
Procompare helped us find a building contractor for our house extension. Through them we came in contact with a local builder. From our first meeting with him, we felt confident that Samuel understood what we were hoping to achieve.
When we decided to have our house extended, we were told to be very careful when choosing a builder. There seems to be a practice that they start a project then they don't turn up because they have too many jobs at once, or leave a complete mess. When browsing reviews of companies online, we also submitted a request on Procompare, and luckily got a quote from the same local contractor we were already looking at. We ended choosing him and are very pleased with the end result and the whole experience
The construction contract should include at least: the name of the contractor and contact information, the name of the homeowner and contact information, description of property in legal terms, the cost, description of the work, the completion date and the right to stop the project.
Before doing a house renovation make sure your plans are in line with local council planning laws. You will require plans for: retaining walls of a certain height, all structural alterations to the existing property that alter the original floor plan, swimming pool and any safety fence or wall required, building a pergola or outdoor structure separate from the existing property.

Sien my planne hiermee saam.
Iam looking for renovation/ division of unit in ground floor where it is an office as current. The walls to be done by dry wall. 1. No of units : 3 units 2. I need sanding, painting, electrical done in the garage. I need a floating shelf put in and potentially dry wall to hide pipes. In the outside bathroom, we need to add a basin and potentially new toilet cistern (base is fine). I need tiling done on the floor too as well as the door fixed and lockable, walls painted and poly filled.
I need to convert a double garage into 2 rooms and break through the wall to make a passage into our flat. Garage is about 6mx6m. Garage doors need to be walled up with a window in. Floor tiled. Need to remove some kitchen counter and move the stove as well as remove some dry wall in the current flat.
I’d like to mount a TV on the wall above the fireplace. The heat won’t be an issue since we never use the fireplace and it doesn’t get very hot. I’d also like to install a clothing rail inside one of the cupboards, we’ll confirm the exact placement soon. Lastly, I’d like to add a sliding (railing) door in one of the doorways.
